John Gobin Just got a brand new 5 string and really hoping to actually learn how to play it!

Steve Hamm I rejuvenated an old Chicago brand banjo, body & resonator made out of Bakelite- interested in anything anyone knows about it also (sorry, Sam Reese, can't help you on yours). I saw one on EBay once but no info with it to help.

Sam Reese i have an old Gretsch Banner Blue banjo and if any one knows any thing about them tell me if you would?

Dan Bledsoe I used to go to a good site for claw hammer style players on the internet that had tabs and recordings. In my opinion, bluegrass style is easier to start on but harder to really get real good at but claw hammer is hard to start on but easier once you get the basics. The bluegrass music I have tried was all in G tunin...g but on clawhammer, you probably use more "double C tuning".
